Southern Social Restaurant: A Taste of Southern Charm in Germantown, TN

Little Valentine's fun last night, tried something new and so glad we did. So delicious! A four course Valentine’s dinner and not a single rush to leave. High quality food and service! It was so busy, but was seated down 20 minutes after arriving and took advantage of the valet since it was raining! We had an amazing Valentine’s experience. The 4 course meal was beautifully done and everything we ordered was delicious. We tried almost everything except the seabass and by the time dessert came out we were so full we had to take it home, which is never a bad problem to have. The atmosphere was perfect for a night out. It felt relaxed and welcoming while still being upscale without feeling uncomfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive and made sure everything flowed smoothly from start to finish. Also worth mentioning, the bathrooms were very clean which always says a lot about a place. Overall, a wonderful experience with great food, great service, and a night we truly enjoyed. We will definitely be back. We went tonight for our first wedding anniversary. I made a reservation online that included complimentary valet parking, so that was a pleasant start. We were greeted by very friendly staff. They brought us complimentary chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne as an anniversary gift. Everything was great, but those deviled eggs stole the show. Special shoutout to our server, Nya. She was fantastic and took great care of us.

2 of my best girlfriends and I visited Sept 21st and was truly impressed by the service, the atmosphere, food and drinks. Our waiter Will was AMAZING! I hope he is there every time I visit. He was attentive, polite and professional. We started with drinks. All of them were delish! The atmosphere was casual yet a bit elegant fpr that touch of romantic atmosphere. Then the food...I ordered the Redfish & Lumpcrab (mild on the spice) and it was Delish! Also ordered was the Shrimp pasta with an array of sauteed mushrooms and Fried Chicken Breast with Mac & Cheese . That chicken breast was the most tender and moist fried breast I had ever tasted Of course I tried their dishes and EVERYTHING was very tasty! And because it was my birthday, I was treated with a creme brulee that satified my sweet tooth. I can't wait to return and try one of those 3 again!

Southern Social is a true dining gem. Every dish we tried was outstanding. The seafood gumbo was rich and flavorful — definitely order the bowl instead of the cup. The redfish topped with crab was perfectly prepared, the sweet potato casserole was phenomenal, and the Tamaha pork chop was equally impressive. And let’s not forget about the crème brûlée — absolutely delicious and the perfect ending to the meal. This is a must-visit restaurant when in Memphis or Germantown. Our server, Alec, provided excellent service and made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Do yourself a favor and try the fried chicken breast. It is perfectly seasoned. Perfectly breaded. Perfectly fried. Perfect. The Mac and cheese was delicious. The greens were the right combination of vinegar sweetness - no bitterness at all. End with the lemon ice box pie and you will feel like you just had Sunday lunch at your grandma's. The service was impeccable. Ask for Zach. He is fantastic.

What a fabulous dinner! We are traveling and doing through Memphis and happened up the Southern Social. We chose it because I caned the redfish and lump carb dinner. This place did not disappoint. We sat on the patio on a perfect evening and had a fabulous dinner. Kiley was our server and she was friendly, charming, helpful and efficient. Wow!! 10 out of 10 for us tonight.

Great atmosphere. We celebrated our mom’s 70th birthday here. They even personalized our party menus. Great service!!! Good food! Child friendly.

This place was awesome! The food was excellent, I had the pecan crusted salmon with cranberries/butternut squash, and hubby had the Tomahawk Pork Chop with sweet potato casserole and Brussels sprouts… sooooo good! We had the wedge salad and a cup of gumbo to start … again … yum! The Cab Flight of three different wines was fun/yummy with large 2 oz pours! Olivia was our waitress and she was super friendly, and attentive and made our experience pleasant! Kind of a fancy spot.
